Three new industrial buildings for Kongsberg Gruppen, Horten Industrial Park

In Horten Industripark, Betonmast Buskerud-Vestfold is erecting three modern industrial buildings with a total size of approximately 22,000 m². The buildings will be part of the "Vision" project, which includes a total of 45,000 m² of commercial space. The main tenants are Kongsberg Discovery and Kongsberg Norcontrol, which will receive tailor-made premises for advanced industrial processes, combined with offices and common areas.

IPOA is supplying the steel structures for the project , a load-bearing system of 844 tonnes of steel. The structures are dimensioned to meet the specific needs of the tenants, providing both strength and flexibility in the buildings.

The buildings are clad with sandwich elements combined with wood cladding, and have a clear environmental focus. Several of the parts are certified according to BREEAM-NOR 6.0, level Very Good. With local delivery of steel from IPOA, the project also contributes to lower transport emissions and a more sustainable construction process.

With up to 300 workers on the job and a total value of NOK 1.1 billion, the project is one of the largest in the region. Effective digital tools and careful planning have been crucial to managing logistics and ensuring precision in execution.
