IPOA was established in 2011 by Per Ove Andersen with one vision: To deliver steel structures in a smarter way; more sustainable, efficient and accessible. Buying steel directly from the steel mills
With a short route from manufacturer to production, we ensure quality, traceability and cost-effective deliveries. Direct purchasing gives us full control over the material flow.
Modern sling limit and primer system
In our facility, the steel is prepared through effective shot blasting and primer treatment. This provides an optimal starting point for further processing, welding and assembly.
Own engineering department and project management
From calculations and BIM models to detailed construction solutions – our engineers and project managers follow the projects closely all the way to the fully assembled building.
Own trucks and fitters
With our own logistics and assembly capacity, we deliver precisely – and with control all the way from factory to construction site. This provides security for both progress and quality.

Production in line with Norwegian standards and regulations. Production of structures and processing of steel takes place in our own, modern factory premises in Norway.

Engineer Per Ove Andersen (IPOA) founded IPOA in 2011 with a clear ambition: to build a leading and forward-looking steel contractor with smart solutions, sustainability and quality at its core. With solid industry experience and an ability to see both the big picture and the details, he has led the company from start-up to become Norway's largest supplier of steel structures. Per Ove is known for his commitment, his clear vision and his ability to bring together skilled professionals around common goals – and he remains a central driving force in the company's development.
Knut Klev is responsible for purchasing at IPOA and has deep expertise in steel and material selection. With extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the market, he ensures that we always find the best solutions – both technically and environmentally. Knut plays a key role in our sustainability efforts by securing high-quality materials from responsible supply chains.
Kjetil leads IPOA's marketing efforts with a clear focus on branding, strategic communication and customer-driven growth. With extensive experience from both industry and construction, he has a strong understanding of how technology, relationships and visibility create business value. Kjetil is committed to making IPOA's expertise and sustainable solutions visible to new and existing customers – and to strengthening IPOA's position as the Nordic region's leading steel partner.
