Steel contractor IPOA, which has established itself as a significant player in Norway in recent years and has a clear Nordic presence, has appointed Jon Ola Stokke as its new CEO. Stokke comes from the position as CEO of Garda Sikring Group and has a broad management background from, among others, Ramudden Norge, Norsk Gjenvinning and BASF.
The appointment comes at a time when the steel and construction industries are facing high costs, tighter framework conditions and increasing requirements for documentation and implementation. Despite this, IPOA has delivered solid results and increased capacity both in the factory and on projects.
– We are in a phase of significant activity and structural development. Ola has an operational management profile and experience from businesses that have managed growth under demanding market conditions. These are qualities that will be important going forward, says Chairman Frederic Kristoffersen
Stokke points to the combination of industrial craftsmanship, Nordic ambition and a growing professional environment as key factors in the decision to accept the position.
– IPOA has a strong foundation in an industry that is changing. I look forward to contributing to stable, predictable deliveries and to further developing what is already a robust professional environment, he says.
Organizational adjustments
The leadership change is part of a broader organizational development that has been ongoing over the past year. The company's strategy remains unchanged, with a focus on delivery quality, safety and structured project execution - areas that have been crucial to the company's position in the market.
