Ikea Distribution Centre, Vestby

The new main warehouse for Ikea in Vestby Næringspark is one of the largest and most complex logistics buildings in Norway. With a gross area of over 48,000 m², internal ceiling heights of up to 30 meters and advanced automation systems, it is a prestigious project for A Bygg – and IPOA has played a central role as a supplier of steel structures.

Ikea's new main warehouse in Vestby Næringspark is one of Norway's largest and most complex logistics buildings. The facility is over 48,000 m² with ceiling heights of up to 30 meters and four large warehouse sections, one of which is fully automated. The building also houses offices, meeting rooms, a canteen and changing rooms, as well as its own guardhouse.

IPOA has delivered steel structures with high precision and quality to our customer Straye Stålbygg . The delivery was adapted to both the building's dimensions and the technical requirements of the automation system, and helped ensure progress and a solid end result.

The building is certified with BREEAM-NOR Very Good and energy class A, and has both facades in sandwich PIR elements with elements of ore pine and a solar cell system on the roof.
