Revac recycling plant, Katrineholm (Sweden)

A new recycling facility for Revac is being built in Katrineholm, Sweden, a facility that will contribute to modern and sustainable waste management. The project consists of six buildings with a total area of 18,000 m².

The building is constructed with steel structures supplied by IPOA, combined with prefabricated concrete floors and wall elements. The facade is clad in stained pine panels, and the roof has a green roof as part of the environmental adaptation.

The project was completed at a high pace – from the start of construction in April 2022 to completion in February 2023, just ten months later. The ground conditions presented challenges with extensive blasting, but the hall is now complete as a new gathering point for sports and activity in the district.

Myrahallen marks a boost for Byåsen IL, which with its 3,000 members is Trondheim's largest sports club. IPOA's delivery of steel has contributed to the realization of a building that combines robustness, flexibility and architectural distinctiveness.
