NordicEPOD – Steel for future data center solutions

In Hanekleiva in Vestfold, NordicEPOD has established a factory that produces advanced power supply modules (EPODs) for the data center industry. IPOA is a proud supplier of the steel structures that form the framework of these large units.

Each EPOD is a complete, prefabricated solution that houses emergency power, UPS, switchgear, cooling and transformers. Weighing around 35 tonnes and with a capacity of up to 2 MW, it requires solid, high-precision steel structures.

The production at the factory in Hanekleiva has a capacity of up to 350 EPODs per year. This is a good example of how Norwegian steel expertise contributes to an industry in strong growth – both in the Nordic region and internationally.
